For a simple lock, you have:
The app will encrypt your secret with your recovery password. The encrypted text of your secret will be sent to the time-lock providers who will keep it locked for the time duration you mention.
The recovery password can be used to request the unlocking to the time-lock server. After the request is made, the time-lock server will wait until the lock duration is reached and then it will unlock and send the encrypted admin password back.
Using this process, you may merge this secret of yours and the recovery password to encrypt and time-lock your other secrets.
If you use Shamir's Secret Sharing, you have:
In this case, your secret will be split into 2 parts. The app will encrypt the 1st part of your secret with the 2nd part. This 2nd part is the recovery password. The encrypted text of the 1st part will be sent to the time-lock providers who will keep it locked for the time duration you mention.
The app will create multiple shares from the recovery password (2nd part) using Shamir's secret sharing scheme. When the minimum shares are combined, the recovery password can be retrieved.
Using this process, you may use this secret of yours to encrypt and time-lock your other secrets.
